Cherish…

I hate the current systems of customer support. The hugely complex network of menus and options, none of which clearly lead you to a customer service representative who knows how to handle your problem. At Bank of America, I can hardly ever find a real live person to talk to. When they finally give you a phone number to direct dial a department, write it down! Guard it, protect it, cherish it. It will save you 20 minutes of getting transferred around the next time you need it.

Decent weekend…

Friday night caught Get Laughs or Die Tryin’ by OPM in San Francisco. Andy was in it and came up from LA to perform 3 times this weekend. She literally flew back and forth between here and LA to do this show at least twice, as she was performing in another in LA during the nights. Hilarious sketch comedy show, well worth it.

Saturday bummed around and worked on house a bit, trying to patch up spots where the paint was peeling on the outside.

Sunday tennis match in Hayward. This season we’re in a bit over our heads to make it more interesting. Last year we were 6.0 mixed doubles, this year 7.0. Makes a big difference in who you play. 6.0 is mostly old folks. 7.0 is a lot more fit, talented and consistent people. All three of our doubles teams lost, but we only lost by 6-3, 6-2, whereas the other teams only got one or two games in their two sets. Need to work on a more consistent serve so I’m not throwing games away like that. After the match I went to Lowes and bought some nice lamps. Sooo much better than Home Depot.

Weekend thus far…

IMG_5347.JPG

Tomorrow is fishing with Doris and Ben, but so far I’ve already had a pretty good weekend. Major plans were a BBQ at my house which Bryan offered as a meeting place as Li Jing was in town and wanted to see Eric and Flora’s new baby girl Kara, and I wanted to go see Calexico at the Oakland Art and Soul Festival on Sunday. Check out the picture of the amazing “beer-amid” that I was left with in my fridge from Saturday. More pictures after the jump.
